Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream
After a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts through early December. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. And there are multiple package options available here.
Primary Feature
The big draw is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers
Entry Level
The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
Mid-Range Option
The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Every volume from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, cities, and land masses from almost any perspective. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.
Philanthropic Aspect
Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, though users may also choose their donation amount on the right side of the page. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
